Our vision is to bridge the gap between researchers and patients through our website, smaller projects, and a research paper. This project started with a simple yet important question: how do patients feel about closed-loop deep brain stimulation? Do they want this technology, and what fears or concerns do they have about it? By sharing valuable insights and fostering open communication, we aim to make research on closed-loop DBS more accessible to those directly impacted by these technologies. We also seek to raise awareness among the general public about the existence, effectiveness, and ongoing innovations in the field of DBS. Through this, we hope to not only advance understanding but also encourage informed discussions about the future of DBS technologies and their impact on patient care.
